Karate-Do Goju-Kai presents our Southeast Asian Games Athletes:
Isaiah Tang Wei En
Dimanya Dewangee
Chua Sheng Da
On 29 August 2025, three of our club members—Isaiah Tang, Dimanya Dewangee, and Chua Sheng Da—were selected by the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) to represent Singapore at the 33rd SEA Games in Bangkok. This milestone comes 45 years after the founding of KGS. Over the past two decades, KGS has placed strong emphasis on supporting our members in their competitive journeys, participating in numerous regional and international competitions each year. With each generation pushing the next towards higher levels of performance, this achievement reflects a long and arduous journey filled with sweat and enduring determination. It is a significant milestone for KGS to celebrate our athletes making it onto the SEA Games podium—one of the most prestigious sporting events in the region.

To our athletes who have since returned home
We would like to commend them for their dedication and hard work in honing their craft over the years. As non–full-time athletes, they balanced school, work, national service, and personal commitments while training up to five to six times a week. It has certainly not been an easy journey, but we have witnessed tremendous grit and resilience in their pursuit—values that extend far beyond karate. Win or lose, they have made history by being among the first karatekas in many years to once again represent Singapore Karate on the SEA Games stage.

To our supporters
Both those who travelled all the way to Bangkok and those who cheered from home, KGS thank you for your unwavering encouragement and well wishes to our athletes. Your support continues to be an important driving force for us, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.
As a club, we are proud of how far our athletes have come. May this achievement inspire our members and juniors to trust the process, stay resilient, and never stop believing in what is possible. We remain committed to walking alongside our athletes as they continue striving for excellence—on and off the tatami.
The journey continues—and we are only just getting started.
